February next year will see some big games in women's football. Spain will be hoping to defend the title and win the UEFA Women's Nations League. They must overcome the Netherlands in the semi-finals before hosting the winner of the France-Germany clash.

The tournament's prize is the UEFA Women's Nations League Trophy, which was officially presented at the House of European Football in Nyon yesterday alongside the draw for the final.

The prestigious trophy is 60 cm tall and weighs 10.5 kg. Made of silver with engraved lines on its body, it has an elegant, ergonomic, and balanced shape. The design symbolises the movement of all nations as they rise through the three leagues and lift the winners. The main frame of the trophy is made up of 51 sections, from which the four final modules rise, representing UEFA's 55 member associations.

The trophy will be lifted for the first time on 28 February by the inaugural winners of the UEFA Women's Nations League: France, Germany, the Netherlands, or Spain. In doing so, they will be securing an equally, if not more, important prize: qualification for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. 

It's worth noting that France qualifies automatically as hosts. Should they reach the Nations Cup final, the third-placed team will earn a ticket to compete for gold in Paris next July.

Draw and Format:

Semi-final 1: Spain v Netherlands.

Semi-final 2: France v Germany.

The winners of the two semi-finals, which take place on 23 February, will qualify for the tournament's final on 28 February, while the losers will compete for third place. Notably, should France reach the final, the third-placed team will also qualify for Paris 2024.

The two finalists will qualify for the 2024 Women's Olympic Football Tournament, alongside Olympic hosts France, who automatically qualify. Should France reach the final, the third-placed team will take the remaining place.
