The individual and group all-around qualification staged at the Fiera Valencia in the Spanish city will determine the 14 nations that will compete at Paris 2024.

Competition is set to begin tomorrow with the start of the individual apparatus events as gymnasts battle for hoop and ball golds.

Individual clubs and ribbon finals are due to be held on Thursday (August 24), followed by the group all-around on Friday (August 25) and individual all-around on Saturday (August 26).

In the group all-around, Bulgaria, Israel and Spain have already secured one ticket each for Paris 2024 following their performances at last year’s World Championships, meaning they will only be eligible to take one Olympic quota while other countries can clinch two.

In the individual all-around, the best 14 gymnasts will earn their nations tickets for the Games but Italy, Germany and Bulgaria will be only to be able to get one each having sealed one at the 2022 World Championships in Sofia.

The event is set to conclude on Sunday (August 27) with the group apparatus finals in 5 hoops and 3 ribbons and 2 balls.

"All eyes will be on Valencia for the 40th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, since this event is a qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games," said International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) President Morinari Watanabe.

"With sought-after Olympic berths at stake, every point will count, so I'm sure that the level will be high and the performances stunning."

More than 230 athletes from 62 nations are set to compete in Valencia, including Italy’s Sofia Raffaeli who captured five world titles last year.

Other gymnasts expected to be in the mix for titles include reigning clubs champion Darja Varfolomeev of Germany who picked up five medals at Sofia 2022 and Bulgarian duo Boryana Kaleyn and Stiliana Nikolova.
