A concert is set to take place to mark matches in the World Baseball Classic tournament coming to Miami in the United States.

The international tournament is due to be held across three countries and four stadiums with LoanDepot Mark in Miami, home of Major League Baseball team Miami Marlins, set to host Pool D action, plus two quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the Championship Game.

In the build-up to matches in Miami a World Baseball Classic and Miami Marlins Family Fest Concert is due to be held at Lummus Park on Miami Beach on Friday (March 10).

The concert is free to attend and will take place a day before the opening match in the city is scheduled to be held, between Nicaragua and Puerto Rico.

Miami-based bands Spam Allstars and PALO! are set to perform at the concert, alongside salsa singer Tito Nieves.

The World Baseball Classic is due to begin on Wednesday (March 8), with the final scheduled to be played in Miami on March 21.

The United States are the defending champions for the competition, which sees 20 teams competing across four pools.

Matches are due to be played in Japan, Taiwan and the US, with Miami hosting Pool D games, featuring Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Dominican Republic and Israel.
