The 23-year-old edged past Kazuki Minami of Japan, the 2019 champion in Cottbus and Paris, who finished second, with Britain's Luke Whitehouse taking third.

Yulo also placed second in the parallel bars event, with 19-year-old Illia Kovtun of Ukraine taking first place, after also winning in Cottbus last month.

Turkey's Ferhat Arıcan, a two-time European champion, claimed the final podium position.

Nariman Kurbanov of Kazakhstan, a silver medallist at the Doha 2022 Asian Championships, won the pommel horse event, with last year's world champion Rhys McClenaghan of Ireland taking second and Chinese Taipei's Shiao Yu-Jan securing third.

Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Liu Yang of China won the rings event, defeating Turkey's Adem Asil, who took silver, with Azerbaijan's Nikita Simonov taking third.

In the vault event, it was Armenian Artur Davtyan, world champion in Liverpool last year, who secured the gold medal, beating four-time European champion Igor Radivilov of Ukraine, who was second and Yulo, who claimed his third medal of the competition with a bronze.

Yuyo Kamoto of Japan was victorious in the horizontal bar, edging past Croatia's Tin Srbić, silver medallist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, with Egypt's Ahmed Elmaraghy coming third.

The World Cup series is scheduled to continue in Baku from March 9 to 12.
