Beaten quarter-finalists The Netherlands and Portugal are sixth and ninth respectively, while Spain are 10^th after losing to Morocco in the round-of-16.

Completing the top 10 are European champions Italy, who missed out on the World Cup after a shock defeat in qualifying to North Macedonia.

They are eighth, dropping two places from October.

A group stage exit from Denmark at the World Cup has led to them slipping out of the top 10 to 18^th.

Among the other notable updates after the World Cup, Australia have risen 11 places to 27^th, and Saudi Arabia climbed into the top 50 at 49^th after a stunning victory against Argentina in their opening match.

Canada dropped the most places from 41^st to 53^rd after a group stage exit in Qatar.
