Andy_Hunt_2October 29 - A two-day summit organised by the British Olympic Association (BOA) next week will bring together team leaders from the sports that will comprise Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

They will participate in a series of breakout sessions to continue developing the detailed planning on a sport-by-sport basis when they meet at Loughborough University from November 1-2.

Team GB's Chef de Mission Andy Hunt (pictured) will also present the blueprint for success in 2012 and provide a detailed look at high performance, operations and logistics plans to support Team GB prior to, and during, the Games.

"As the primary point of contact for their sport, the team leaders are key members of our delegation and will play a pivotal role in delivering the success of Team GB at London 2012," said Hunt.

"It is crucial that we work together in a spirit of coordination and partnership in order to deliver the largest Olympic team to represent the UK in over a century."

The crucial meeting follows the announcement of Team GB's delegation leadership for London 2012 earlier this month - exclusively revealed by insidethegames - which sees five deputy Chef de Missions and five directors supporting the Chef de Mission.

Between them, they have experience from 35 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Clive Woodward, BOA director of sport, said: "Sport and athletes are at the heart of every decision we make.

"So regularly bringing together the team leaders of the sports that will make up Team GB in 2012 is an absolutely vital component of our planning for London.

"Through our recently-introduced athlete engagement and sport engagement managers, we will ensure on an ongoing basis that we are a fully integrated unit across the sports, working efficiently towards our shared goals for Team GB in London 2012."
