The Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) has announced Communications Fiji Limited (CFL) as its latest media partner for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

FASANOC unveiled its partnership with CFL at an agreement signing at Fiji Olympic House in Suva.

CFL is described as the largest radio broadcasting company in the South Pacific, operating five radio stations in Fiji and three in Papua New Guinea.

It is also described as the premier event management company in Fiji and Papua New Guinea and is the parent company of Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Radio Sargam and Navtarang and Fijivillage.com.

FASANOC Chief Executive Lorraine Mar welcomed the partnership saying it would be beneficial to getting the right information across Fiji.

CFL News director, Vijay Narayan said he looked forward to the partnership and pledged to give "great coverage" from the Olympics in Tokyo, scheduled to start on July 24.

Meanwhile Team Fiji Chef De Mission Patrick Bower reiterated the importance that the media played in getting information out to the community and said he was thankful to CFL for being a partner for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
