Jamaica was represented by just one athlete at the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer - bobsledder Daniel Mayhew.

Mayhew, who only took up the sport 11 months before competing, continued Jamaica's rich tradition in the sport.

The bobsleigh competition was held at the Lillehammer Olympic Sliding Centre, the same track on which the Caribbean country famously finished in 14th place in the four-man event at the 1994 Winter Olympic Games.

Mayhew was the first Jamaican to be selected for a Winter YOG after none appeared at Innsbruck 2012.

He finished 13th in the men's monobob.
