Technology company Samsung and charity Generations for Peace have renewed their partnership in support of peace through grassroots sport.

The partnership, which is now in its 11th year, is designed to support volunteers around the world through various community help and training programmes.

Communities in Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq have already benefited from the programme.

The partnership also hosts the annual Samsung Generations For Peace Awards, which aim to recognise volunteers in four categories - innovation, quality, impact and sustainability.

Samsung President Changsup Lee expressed his delight at the renewal of the partnership.

"With 10 years of successful partnership under our belts, we look forward to continuing our collaboration with Generations For Peace, supporting innovative approaches to engage youth in peace-building at the grassroots around the globe," he said.
