Pip Blackwell produced a stunning comeback to book his place in the second round of the British Darts Organisation (BDO) World Championship.

The English player found himself trailing 2-0 to Wales’ Dean Reynolds in his first round match at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green.

Blackwell would stage an impressive fightback against the tournament’s seventh seed to draw level at 2-2, having survived a match dart.

The deciding set would go in Blackwell’s favour with the Englishman completing the turnaround to seal a 3-2 triumph.

Paul Hogan would emerge as the victor in another England against Wales encounter, as he saw off the challenge of Martin Phillips.

The English player secured a 3-2 victory, with the reward for the triumph being a second round showdown with the top seed Glen Durrant.
