Puma have been announced as the kit supplier for the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic team on an initial four-year basis, which will include the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) has confirmed the deal, which will see the country's team wear lifestyle, training, competition and presentation clothing by the manufacturer.

This will also include the Trinidad and Tobago Commonwealth Games Association's teams at international events.

The TTOC said that they are "excited about working with Puma to achieve agreed strategic objectives" and are confident the deal will be part of an exciting phase for the organisation.

Jamaica, The Bahamas, Grenada and the Cayman Islands are among the Puma sponsored teams already in the Caribbean.

The deal follows the completion of TTOC's previous agreement with another German manufacturer Adidas, with the multi-Olympic cycle partnership ending on December 31.

It is claimed the decision not to renew the agreement was "amicable" with the TTOC praising the supplier for their support.

"The TTOC thanks Adidas for a wonderful relationship and close partnership," a TTOC statement read.

"Over the years friendships developed in an environment of mutual respect."

Adidas also supported the TTOC’s market driven merchandising and licensing strategy.
