Britain and the United States have revealed their teams for the International Tennis Federation (ITF) BNP Paribas World Team Cup, which is due to take place in Antalya, Turkey, from May 25 to 31.

The British team for the ITF’s flagship event will feature Gordon Reid, who earned the 29th title of his career by winning the Pensacola Open in March.

Reid will be joined in the men’s team by Marc McCarroll, David Phillipson and Alfie Hewitt, while the women’s team consists of Jordanne Whiley, Lucy Shuker and Louise Hunt.

The British team enjoyed success at the 2014 competition held at Alphen, in the Netherlands, where the men’s team secured their first podium finish since 1989 by earning bronze,

However the quad team went further in earning gold with a victory over the US team and Jamie Burdekin and Antony Cotterill, both members of the victorious quad team, are returning for the 2015 edition of the event, where they will be accompanied by James Shaw.

"Last year's victory over the US in the deciding doubles of the final will always be one of the most special moments of my career after also being a member of the British team that won the quad title on home soil in Nottingham in 2009," Burdekin said.

“We are defending champions and know that retaining the title provides us with a big challenge."
