The gold medals at the International Blind Sports Federation Goalball European Championships Men & Women B were claimed by Denmark and Slovenia after impressive performances on the final day of action in Budapest.
The Danes were up against their Scandinavian rivals Sweden in the women's decider.
Most observers had the Swedes as slight favourites as they had looked the most impressive side throughout the Championships in Hungary, but their opponents had other ideas.
Denmark breached the yellow and blue defence six times, while only conceding two at the other end to run out 6-2 winners and claim the European title.
Greece upset the home crowd by overcoming hosts Hungary 2-1 to claim the bronze medal.
Meanwhile in the men's competition, Sweden had to make do with their second silver medal of the day.
After seeing off in-form Israel in the semi-final, Slovenia came into the decider full of confidence and it showed as they put in a controlled and decisive performance.
While the Swedes managed to register five goals, they had no answer to the superior firepower of their opponents as Slovenia rattled in eight goals to become European champions.
A 10-4 thrashing of Israel saw Ukraine secure the bronze medal and a place at next year's A Championships in Kaunas, Lithuania along with Slovenia and Sweden.
The medal winners in the women's competition will also be appearing in Kaunas next July.
