Journalists, photographers and non-rights-holding broadcasters have six weeks to apply for a press accreditation for the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games ©Getty ImagesThe press accreditation process has opened for the Toronto 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games.

Journalists, photographers and non-rights-holding broadcasters have until November 1 to apply by filling in the Press Accreditation expression of interest form.

Games organisers will work with each National Paralympic Committee (NPC) to verify individual press accreditations.

NPCs have final approval on press accreditations for their countries.

The Pan American Games are due to be held from July 10 to 26, with 41 countries expected to compete in 36 sports.

The Parapan American Games is scheduled to take place from August 7 to 15, with around 1,600 athletes from 28 countries and territories set to compete in 15 sports in the Canadian city.

All the events will double-up as qualifiers for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
