The deal will sees Reece Australia replace Adidas hockey as a premium partner of the DHB with the company set to provide the kit for both Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 as part of the six year deal.

From 2015 Reece Australia will also become the new supplier and premium partner of the German Hockey League.

"This long-term six year contract provides us with a wonderful opportunity to further develop the sport of hockey with a very active partner," said DHB director Torsten Bartel.

"Reece Australia is able to provide our teams with equipment in amounts that significantly exceed our previous agreement.

"We will also receive support for our amateur sport projects and in addition our new supplier will provide the overall logistics relating to the distribution, transportation and replenishment of equipment for individual teams, which relieves our main office."

As part of this new agreement Reece Australia, a subsidiary of Dutch sports equipment manufacturer Deventrade BV, will also provide equipment for all the German youth teams.

Germany's men have won the Olympic gold medal four times, including at Beijing 2008 and London 2012, and the women once, at Athens 2004.

With Leipzig set to host the 2015 World Indoor Hockey Championships, Arnold de Bruin, general manager of Deventrade BV, believes that it is the best platform to present the new collection and is highly enthusiastic about the new partnership agreement.

"The sport of hockey is the most successful German Olympic team sport and offers us a perfect opportunity to expand our brand in Europe," he said.
