September 30 - Organisations are now being given the chance to secure their exhibition stands ahead of the 2014 SportAccord International Convention in Belek, Turkey.
The Convention, first launched in 2003, brings over 2,000 leading representatives from the sporting industry together under one roof offering the participants a powerful opportunity to come together on a global scale, to build relationships, share knowledge and develop ideas that will benefit the international sports community.
"If you are serious about sport, you can't miss SportAccord Convention," said Sir Martin Sorrell, chief executive of the marketing communications firm WPP Group.
The event is attended by a number International Sports Federations, businesses and organising committees from across the globe, as well as hosting the International Olympic Committees' (IOC) Executive Board annual spring meeting.
The 12th edition of the convention is due to be held in Turkey for the first time with the event scheduled to take place from April 6 until 11.
Exhibitors are attracted to the Convention year after year due to the benefits of having the world's top sporting leaders in one place at the same time.
It offers the chance to raise brand awareness, launch new initiatives and generate new business, and business contacts within the world of sport.
"Why exhibit?" said Lindsay Harrison, tourism manager for the City of Edmonton.
"To promote our brand, showcase the events we are hosting and attract International Federations and rights holders to our stand for one on one meetings."
