Badmintons BWF World Superseries finals will be helf in Kula Lumpur Malaysia this yearOctober 17 - The finals of badminton's World Superseries will be played in Kuala Lumpur this December, returning to Malaysia after a three-year absence, it was announced today.


The five-day season ending tournament, organised by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and which carries a $500,000 (£300,000/€400,000) prize pot, is due to take place between December 11 and 15 and will bring together the top eight individuals or pairs from men's and women's singles and doubles, as well as mixed doubles, following the 12-event tour played throughout the year.

"We anticipate some great finals in Malaysia and we look forward to the best performers on the Superseries circuit giving their best," said Thomas Lund, secretary general of the BWF.

"We are in the second half of the Superseries and there is still a lot of intrigue regarding who will qualify for the finals."

The tour resumed in September after a three-month break with tournaments in Changzhou, China, and Tokyo.

Players have travelled to Odense this week to compete in the Danish Open, which will be followed by competitions in Paris, Kowloon in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
