September 12 - British skier Chemmy Alcott has signed a partnership with outdoor apparel manufacturers Jack Wolfskin, which will see the three-time Olympian become the face of the German-based brand.
The 31-year-old five-time overall senior national champion Alcott, widely regarded as Britain's top female skier, will now wear the Jack Wolfskin logo on the piste as the brand becomes her official outdoor, clothing and footwear partner.
Alcott will also aid the future development of products using her knowledge and experience of outdoor sport, and will document her role as a brand ambassador in the Jack Wolfskin Outdoor Blog.
"I am delighted to be working with Jack Wolfskin - a company that shares my love of the mountains and skiing," said Alcott, who has now recovered from a broken leg suffered in 2010 and will be targeting her fourth consecutive Winter Olympics appearance at Sochi 2014.
"As a professional skier I need to be able to rely on my clothing and equipment 100 per cent so I'm very lucky to be wearing Jack Wolfskin knowing that as well as looking great, it will perform exactly as it should."
Jack Wolfskin chief marketing officer Elke Stein added: "We are very happy to announce our sponsorship deal with Chemmy Alcott.
"Along with her love for skiing, Chemmy is a keen outdoor enthusiast, which makes her the perfect representative for Jack Wolfskin and its values.
"We hope her high profile within the industry will help to increase our brands presence within our target audience of ski and outdoor fans within the UK."
