"In our 2012-2016 Strategic Plan we recognised the need to engage the international basketball community using the most cutting-edge tools," said TBF President Turgay Demirel.

"With our re-launched website, e-newsletter, Twitter accounts and Facebook pages, we are pleased to be able to share the excitement of Turkish basketball with fans in so many ways."

Turkey's men's team will be looking to secure one of the six qualification spots on offer for next year's FIBA World Cup in Spain at the EuroBasket, and after ending up as beaten finalists on home turf in 2010, they will be desperate to make amends at next year's tournament should they qualify.
