Canada's most decorated Paralympian Michael Edgson is to be inducted into the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame

Visually impaired swimmer Edgson boasts 18 gold and three silver medals from three Paralympic Games - including a nine-gold haul at Seoul 1988, and nine world records set over the course of his career.

Edgson was inducted into the Canadian Paralympic Committee Hall of Fame in 2011.

The gala event for the inductions to the Hall of Fame will take place on October 26 this year.
