SportAccord logo newDecember 28 - SportAccord has launched a search for a Director General and a senior manager Multi-Sports Games as well as looking to reinforce its Doping-Free Sport Unit and the Sports' Social Responsibility Department.


It has retained Sports Recruitment International to find it suitable candidates.

The umbrella organisation for both Olympic and non-Olympic international sports federations as well as organisers of sporting events is looking to recruit the new positions in order to build on the success of the SportAccord multi-sports games and reacting to an increasing demand for services from its members.

At the end of August 2010, SportAccord launched the first edition of the World Combat Games.

The SportAccord World Mind Games and the SportAccord World Beach Games will follow in 2011 and 2012.

SportAccord President Hein Verbruggen said: "It is our mission to unite and support our members.

"We want to promote their sports and help them to increase their visibility.

"This is why expand our services and why we will launch further multi-sports games such as the World Mind Games and the World Beach Games."
