Zimbabwe_Olympic_CommitteeMarch 10 - The Zimbabwe Olympic Committee (ZOC) have appointed Stanley Mutoya as their new chief executive to replace Robert Mutsauki, they have announced.


Mutsauki left ZOC at the beginning of the year to take up the post of technical director on a full-time basis at the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA).

Mutsauki had served as the ZOC chief executive for six years having been the organisation's secretary general since 2002.

Mutoya joined ZOC in May 2006 as its operations manager and overseeing business development, roles he held until his promotion in 2008 to general manager. 

Before joining ZOC, Mutoya worked at the Grain Marketing Board for two years as the sports and recreation manager.

A teacher by training, Mutoya, is a graduate of the University of Zimbabwe.

He also attained an Executive Diploma in Sports Management from the Zimbabwe Institute of Management.

Mutoya also has a Diploma in Marketing from the Institute of Marketing Management (IMM).

He is currently finishing an Executive Masters in Sports Organisation Management (MEMOS) with the University of Poitiers of France as well as a Bachelor of Business Studies in Marketing with the Institute of Marketing Management.
