insidethegames.biz are running a LIVE BLOG from the European Championships in Glasgow and Berlin?

The Live Blog started at 9.00am today with Daniel Etchells reporting on the gymnastics at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow and Michael Pavitt on the rowing from Strathcylde Country Park. Michael Pavitt will later be providing live coverage of the track cycling from the Sir Chiris Hoy Velodrome.

This event marks a new era in world sport as Glasgow and Berlin host the inaugural European Championships, a new highlight that will take place every four years on the global sporting calendar.

We have a team of top journalists in Glasgow and Berlin led by insidethegames.biz editor Duncan Mackay. As well as Daniel Etchells and Michael Pavitt, James Diamond and Mike Rowbottom will also be contributing to the Live Blog

Of course, any event is not complete without an official mascot and the 2018 European Championships are no exception with Bonnie the Seal featuring in Glasgow whilst Berlino the bear returns as the official mascot of Berlin. We can confidently predict they will be making regular appearances on the Live Blog!

The Live Blog refreshes automatically, so you can be sure you won’t miss any of the important decisions and events expected to be announced at this key industry event.

Get involved on Twitter and Facebook and share individual updates or make comments on the Live Blog itself.

Glasgow and Scotland are hosting aquatics, cycling, gymnastics, rowing and triathlon along with a new Golf Team Championships from today until August 12 and this 11-day celebration of world-class sport involves around 4,500 athletes taking part.

Berlin hosts the athletics from August 7 to 12 where there will be 48 medal events, with around 1,500 participants.

All on your favourite website insidethegames.biz.
