Michael Pavitt will later be providing live coverage of the track cycling from the Sir Chiris Hoy Velodrome. This event marks a new era in world sport as Glasgow and Berlin host the inaugural European Championships, a new highlight that will take place every four years on the global sporting calendar.
Of course, any event is not complete without an official mascot and the 2018 European Championships are no exception with Bonnie the Seal featuring in Glasgow whilst Berlino the bear returns as the official mascot of Berlin.
