Senior reporter Geoff Berkeley has made the journey to Manama to cover the two day event which is seen as key to promoting gender equality in sport across the continent.

| More than 90 delegates are due to attend, including 36 secretary generals and Board members of National Olympic Committees.
Among those present will be Raja Randhir Singh, the Acting President of the OCA, and Husain Al-Musallam, the OCA director general who is also President of the International Swimming Federation. |
The event is being held in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee and the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and will include presentations and the sharing of best practice.
