Reporter Michael Houston has made the journey to the Olympic capital to bring you all the news from this key two-day gathering.

The summit is due to focus on the “sportification” of cities - or how cities can become “playgrounds” to bring people closer to sport.



More than 300 people from across the world are due to attend to debate how best to use sport in cities.

International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach has been confirmed as a keynote speaker and will share the Olympic Movement’s vision on how the initiatives of cities can bring sport closer to the people.

Other confirmed speakers include Pierre Rabadan, the deputy mayor of Paris which is preparing to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

He will be joined by the likes of Thierry Weil, the chief executive of the International Hockey Federation, and Mark Ward, the chief marketing and communications officer for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games
