Having covered the journey of Beijing from the day in November 2013 that it surprised everyone by announcing that it would bid, to its narrow four-vote victory over its only rival, Almaty, in Kuala Lumpur in 2015 and the subsequent seven years of preparations today we finally see the Opening Ceremony of the BEIJING 2022 Olympic Games.
