The insidethegames.biz LIVE BLOG from the TOKYO 2020 Paralympic Games starts TODAY!

The global event will start one year later than planned with the Opening Ceremony, and our LIVE BLOG will ensure that you don't miss a single second of the action and the moments which count.

We have a two-strong team on the ground in Japan who will be out and about bringing you the stories which matter, while making you feel part of an event which International Paralympic Committee President Andrew Parsons believes will be crucial to transforming the lives of disabled people.

Senior reporter Geoff Berkeley has remained in Japan following the Olympic Games, and will be joined by junior reporter Michael Houston at the venues and the Main Press Centre at Tokyo Big Sight.

The Opening Ceremony Live Blog will begin at 7.00pm Tokyo time/11.00am-UK time today, August 24, so stick with us from start to finish as the curtain rises on what promises to be a hugely significant edition of the inspirational Games.

Supporting Geoff and Michael in Japan will be our unrivalled team in London. Led by editor-in-chief Duncan Mackay, chief senior reporter Liam Morgan, senior reporters Michael Pavitt and Dan Palmer, chief feature writer Mike Rowbottom, chief columnist David Owen and Olympic historian Philip Barker will all be contributing to our extensive Paralympic coverage.

The editorial desk at insidethegames.biz HQ will be run by Ali Iveson, Neil Shefferd and Andy Dowdeswell, with help from junior reporters Owen Lloyd and Patrick Burke.

After the Opening Ceremony, make sure to join our LIVE BLOG for 12 days of fantastic sporting action, leading up to the Closing Ceremony on September 5.

Sports to look forward to include athletics, swimming, taekwondo, judo, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair basketball.

Get involved on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and share individual updates or make comments on the Live Blog itself.

All on your favourite website insidethegames.biz.

Kind regards
