The agreement was signed between Gwangju 2015 secretary general Kim Yoon-suk and Ourhome chief executive Lee Seung-woo at the Gwangju 2015 headquarters.

As an official sponsor, Ourhome will provide catering services for the athletes, officials, judges and referees, and other Universiade participants.

"I truly appreciate the partnership with the number one catering company in Korea, Ourhome," said Kim.

"I also hope the Universiade Gwangju can be an opportunity for Ourhome to grow as a global food and beverage company."

Ourhome spun off from the LG Group in 2000 and has since become South Korea's leading catering company, providing scientifically advanced, sanitary meal services to its customers.

Through its agreement with Gwangju 2015, the company has been given the rights to use the official Universiade logo and sponsorship title.

With these, the company has agreed to promote next year's Games through both online and offline platforms.

"It is meaningful for Ourhome to become an official sponsor for the Universiade Gwangju 2015," said Lee.

"We will do our best to support a successful event."
