Speaking at a meeting in Seoul, Kim asked British Olympic Association (BOA) chairman Sebastian Coe for a high level of support and cooperation as Gwangju continues to prepare for the Summer Games.

"The 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade is preparing to leave many legacies in the history of the sporting world," Kim said.

Prior to his meeting with Coe, Kim attended a luncheon hosted by the British Embassy and British Chamber of Commerce, which saw top United Kingdom firms share the legacy and values of the Olympics with South Korea following the success of London 2012.
