Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree to hold an alternative Games for athletes banned from the Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) have confirmed that Sergei Chudinov has been removed from the Olympic Athletes from Russia (OAR) invitation list having initially being accepted as a coach.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko will not be able to lift his Olympic ban before Pyeongchang 2018 after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said they had not received a request to hear his appeal beforehand.
The ban on Russian track and field athletes from international competition has been maintained by the International Association of Athletics Federations Council (IAAF) meeting in Monaco today.
Andrew Parsons, President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), said here today that a decision on whether to re-admit Russian athletes to international Para-sport will be made on December 19.
