August 26 - Two United States aquatics teams have announced deals to set-up pre-London 2012 training camps in the British Isles, including the first squad to reach an agreement to prepare in Ireland.

America's synchronised swimming team has chosen the National Aquatic Centre (NAC) in Abbotstown as its pre-Olympics training base and will use it for three separate training camps between April and August 2012, including the period of the Games.

The US diving team, meanwhile, are to base themselves in Sheffield.

Barry O'Brien, the chief executive of the National Sports Campus Ireland (NSCI), which includes the NAC, claimed that they have high hopes of other teams basing themselves at Abbotstown's 50 metre pool and are already certain that several individual swimmers from some smaller nations will train there.

Sheffield, meanwhile, are set to unveil more details later of their deal with USA Diving for them to base themselves in Yorkshire before London 2012 at a press conference later.

Sheffield already have a deal for Serbia to base themselves there before London 2012.
