Having won the inaugural competition in Beijing the Chinese team began as favourites and qualified easily for the final, with Hang Zhou producing a supreme jump to lead the men's qualification ahead of his compatriot and World Cup leader Guangpu Qi.

The two men teamed up in the final, while Xiaoxue Shen was the female representative on the team, stepping in for the Chinese number one Xu Mengtao and the team secured victory with a total score of 330.23 points.

Belarus proved to be their nearest challengers with their team of Hanna Huskova, Stanislau Hladchenko and Denis Osipau securing 320.00 points, while Russia claimed bronze as Veronika Korsunova, Pavel Krotov and Ilya Burov scoring in the team event with 295.33.

The Unite States team was led by Max Bohonnon, fresh from winning his maiden victory in the men's aerials yesterday, but the home favourites were unable to surmount a challenge.

In front of the home crowd, they struggled in a strong wind to finish with 270.20 points, which was enough for fourth place.

The next World Cup aerials event is set to be held on February 21 in Moscow.
