The two-time Olympic silver medallist, who finished second last time-out in Königssee, Germany, was fastest on both runs as he clocked a combined time of 2 min 16.17sec.

Sungbin Yun's second-place finish, with a time of 2:16.77, saw him register the best performance by a South Korean in skeleton World Cup history, while Russia's Nikita Tregybov came third in 2:17.36 to secure his first podium finish at the age of 19.

Dukurs heads the overall standings on 1,110 points, with brother Tomass, fifth in St. Moritz, in second on 974, while Germany's Axel Jungk, sixth in St. Moritz, in third on 912.

The 30-year-old has won four of the five events so far and with just three remaining, the defending champion looks firmly on course to retain his crown.
