"It was a good weekend to have a competition and see where I am at the moment," said Murray, winner of January's final national selection competition at the group's training base in the University of Bath, where she is studying French and Politics.

"Winning was great, but I'm not going to get carried away.

"It's good to see some of the changes I've made over the winter are working and hopefully I can take this forward to the next World Cup.

"The squad has been training really hard and the hard work has paid off," added the 22-year-old from Clitheroe in Lancashire.

Murray finished on 5,564 points, with Asadauskaite on 5,452 and Livingston, who came home eight seconds behind the Lithuanian, on 5,420.

Other Britons Kate French and Kerry Prise finished seventh and 18th respectively.

Murray will next be in action at the opening World Cup of the year in Charlotte, United States, from March 8 to 11.

She will be joined there by Heather Fell, Freyja Prentice and Mhairi Spence in the women's team, with world junior champion Jamie Cooke, Steven Mason, Sam Weale and Nick Woodbridge in the men's competition.
