Vanquish_Jan_15January 17 - Pentathlon GB has become the latest sports governing body to agree a partnership deal to use Into Sport Group's ground-breaking technology platform, Vanquish.

Under the three-year agreement Pentathlon GB will use the online service to help athletes, performance staff, coaches and management coordinate training and performance programmes and work more closely and efficiently in a multi-discipline environment.

Vanquish will allow geographically dispersed individuals to provide training and performance updates in real time, enabling analysis of critical data relating to athlete training and performance, it is claimed.

As a multi-discipline sport, Pentathlon GB will record training and performance data relating to all five Olympic events, as well as development data for strength and conditioning, nutrition and hydration, performance lifestyle and injury logging and management.

In addition to the standard reports provided by Vanquish, Into Sport Group has created a number of bespoke training and competition reports that instantly deliver detailed information from all five events, they claim.

Vanquish is delivered to performance sport organisations as a fully secure, hosted and supported software service, and is accessed via a regular internet browser.

It enables organisations and virtual teams to collaborate, work more efficiently and share and analyse vital information quickly and easily.

It provides a range of benefits, not least reducing the amount of time that key staff spend fulfilling administrative duties thus allowing more time to be focused on athlete and programme development.

Commenting on the partnership, Stuart Mason, World Class pathway manager at Pentathlon GB, said: "Vanquish will be a vital addition.

"Our podium and development athletes will be able to record competition and training data quickly and easily, which will give our national coaches more detailed insight into how they can improve performance.

"We are happy to be working with a partner such as Into Sport Group.

"Their professionalism and support is exactly what we need in our pursuit of medal success at London 2012 and beyond."

Bernie Moss, national development coach for Pentathlon GB, added: "We are excited to begin 2011 with our athletes, coaches and staff using Vanquish.

"The platform will help us to operate more efficiently as an organisation and will allow me to monitor large groups of athletes from one location.

"Into Sport Group has been first class in the way it realised our objectives and provided solutions.

"The platforms reporting tool will be essential for both monitoring performance in and out of competition and for delivering key data to UK Sport."

Into Sport Group's managing director, Colin Miles, said: "This partnership really highlights the flexibility of the Vanquish platform in supporting a complex, multi-discipline sport.

"Vanquish has been designed to help National Governing Bodies collaborate, save time and to easily share important information.

"It will help Pentathlon GB to coordinate their athletes and staff in a way they have been unable to do in the past.

"Pentathlon encompasses five disciplines which means more coaches and more data to record.

"For some platforms this would present a real challenge, but Vanquish has been created to support a wide range of sport requirements."
