Iaromka prevailed after a four-minute kumikata battle, with a penalty proving to be the only difference between the pair.

In the bronze medal matches, Germany's Franziska Konitz overcame Kazakhstan's Zarina Abdrassulova, while Turkey's Gulsah Kocaturk was disqualified to hand victory to Great Britain's Sarah Adlington.

Meanwhile, in the women's under 78kg category, Poland's Daria Pogorzelec, winner of this year's European Open in Tallinn, got the better of Croatia's Ivana Maranic, immobilising her opponent for ippon.

Germany's Luise Malzahn beat Spain's Laia Talarn in the first bronze medal match before Great Britain's Natalie Powell prevailed against Italy's Assunta Galeone.

In the men's under 90kg category, France's Alexandre Iddir, who recently claimed a bronze medal at the Astana Grand Prix, triumphed against Russia's Kirill Denisov with an outstanding reverse sode-tsuri-komi-goshi for ippon.

Italy's Walter Facente and Egypt's Hatem Abd El Akher claimed the bronze medals after seeing off home favourite Sherali Juraev and Tajikistan's Komronshoh Ustopiriyon respectively.

There was a gold medal for Egypt in the men's under 100kg category as Ramadan Darwish, bronze medallist in Astana, scored a yuko against Belgium's Toma Nikiforov to claim victory.

Local athlete Ramziddin Sayidov won the second bronze medal match against Portugal's Jorge Fonseca after Sweden's Martin Pacek had defeated Russia's Adlan Bisultanov.

The concluding final of the Grand Prix, in the over 100kg category, pitted Mongolia's Temuulen Battulga against Austria's Daniel Allerstorfer as the former came out on top with an opportunist kansetsu-waza technique for ippon.

Hungary's Barna Bor beat Egypt's Islam El Shehaby in the first bronze medal match before Elyor Masharipov added to the hosts' medal tally by overcoming Russia's Andrey Volkov.

The IJF World Judo Tour continues over the next weeks as the Asian leg gains momentum in Abu Dhabi with the Grand Prix, which this year has become a Grand Slam, on October 31 until November 2.

Abu Dhabi will be followed by Qingdao Grand Prix in China and Jeju Grand Prix in South Korea, before the end of the year, which will be marked by the Judo Grand Slam in Tokyo.
