October 5 - Ketleyn Quadros (left) added to her win in Almaty last week with victory in TashkentAfter failing to register a win yesterday, Brazili made amends on day two of the World Judo Tour event in Tashkent as Ketleyn Quadros, Mariana Barros and Barbara Timo completed a clean sweep of gold medals in the women's events.

The crowd inside the Uzbekistan Sports Complex also saw the United States pick up a win in the men's events, along with another victory for the host nation as the tatami action continued in the Uzbek capital.

Quadros made it two International Judo Federation (IJF) World Tour event wins in-a-row as she followed up her victory in Almaty last week by overcoming America's Pan American Open San Salvador bronze medallist Hana Carmichael in the final of the under 57 kilogramme class.

Andrea Bekic of Croatia and Kazakhstan's Nazgul Kubasheva picked up wins in the bronze medal matches.

The second final of the day saw another clash between judoka from Brazil and the US and the result was the same as the first with Barros performing a superb morote-seoi-nage to secure ippon against Hannah Martin, making it two from two for the South American nation, in the under 63kg category.

Kazakhstan took its second bronze of the day in the form of Marian Urdabayeva, who proved too strong for India's Garima Chaudhary while Hilde Drexler of Austria halted the Brazil medal charge by defeating Mariana Silva.

The host nation secured its first medal of the day as 19-year-old Gulnoza Matniyazova defeated Zamzagul Faizollanova of Kazakhstan while Mukhayyo Ibragimova could not follow her teammate's lead as she lost out to Israel's Lior Wildikan, in the bronze medal matches.

American Travis Stevens caused a bit of an upset in the first men's final of the day as the world number 22 put in an impressive performance to take the under 81kg title against Iran's world number three Amir Ghasemi Nejad, securing the gold with a o-soto-gari followed by an ippon-seoi-nage.

Juraev, who also picked up the athlete of the day award, defeated his teammate with an impressive drop-seoi-nage for waza-ari, before scoring again for yuko.

Dilshod Choriev added to the Uzbekistan celebrations by taking bronze against Vadym Synyavsky of the Ukraine while Kamoliddin Kholmamatov missed out on making it a clean sweep of medals for the host nation as he went down to Komronshoh Ustopiriyon of Tajikistan.
