Alicia Sacramone is one of the candidates seeking a spot of the FIG Athletes' CommissionSeptember 9 - Ukrainian Olympic bronze medallist Ihor Radivilov, British London 2012 bronze medallist Beth Tweddle and American Beijing 2008 silver medallist Alicia Sacramone have been named among the candidates vying for a place on the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Athletes' Commission next month.

Ukraine's Angelina Kysla and current Commission chair Jani Tanskanen, a Finnish former world champion, are also seeking election to replace American Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin, who is not running, and represent artistic gymnastics on the body.

The vote, which is due to take place at the 44th Artistic Gymnastics World Championship on September 30 to October 6 in Antwerp, will be held on October 3 for female athletes and the following day for the males.

The FIG Athletes' Commission features six gymnasts, who have been voted in by their peers in their respective disciplines, that contribute to the future of the sport and have voting rights on Technical Committee activities.

The athlete elected to represent artistic gymnastics will join London 2012 all-around bronze medallist Liubov Charkashyna of Belarus, Azerbaijan's Ayla Ahmadova and Mexican Aldrin Rodríguez García - who look after the rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatics and aerobics respectively, on the Athletes' Commission.

A representative for trampoline will be elected at the Trampoline World Championships, in Sofia in November.
