The tournament, which brings together the champions of each of FIFA's six confederations and the national league champion from the host country, will be played in Rabat and Marrakech.

FIFA is comfortable that Ebola poses no threat as things stand and has said in a statement it will be in touch with the participating clubs should the situation change.

World football's governing body also stated it is in contact with Moroccan authorities and is "constantly updating its position" on the advice of the World Health Organisation.

Morocco has no reported cases of the deadly virus that has killed nearly 5,000 people in West Africa and is currently in dispute with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) over the delaying or postponing of the AFCON, fearing fans might travel from the region for the three-week tournament.

Reports in the Moroccan media today claim that CAF President Issa Hayatou agreed to postpone the competition until June or January 2016 in a meeting with the local organisers on Wednesday (October 29).

CAF have denied the reports but insist they will discuss Morocco's concerns at its Executive Committee meeting in Algiers on Sunday (November 2) and organise an individual meeting for the following day in Rabat.

South Africa, originally mooted as a possible replacement, claim they cannot step in while Sudan and Egypt, other countries mentioned as potential stand-ins, have only shown limited interest.
