Teddy TamghoDecember 19 - Teddy Tamgho, France's world indoor triple jump champion, will learn tomorrow if an incident with a fellow athlete in October has cost him an appearance in next year's Olympics.

The French Athletics Federation said today that the 22-year-old will appear before their disciplinary committee and could miss next year's London Olympic Games after being involved in a clash with another athlete at a training camp.

"There was an altercation [with another athlete] at the Boulouris [southern France] training camp last October," a spokesman for the Federation said.

"He will explain the situation.

"If he is found guilty, he could face a warning or even miss out on the Olympics because of a lengthy ban."

Tamgho, who holds the indoor world record of 17.92 metres, required surgery after fracturing his ankle at the European under-23 championships in Ostrava in July.

He now trains in Gainesville, Florida, with the former Olympic long jump champion Ivan Pedroso.

Among those who will be following events closely are Tamgho's two major rivals in the event, Christian Taylor of the United States and Phillips Idowu of Britain, who won gold and silver respectively in his absence at the IAAF World Championships in Daegu.
