World Bowling hopes its new website will help it unite the sport around the planet ©World BowlingWorld Bowling has launched a new website as it makes its first steps towards "uniting the sport worldwide".

The organisation was established last year, bringing together the ten-pin and two nine-pine federations, as well as the umbrella organisation, the International Federation of Bowlers, under one governing body.

Alongside social media channels, including on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, the website will act as a "central hub for the bowling community".

"We are very excited by the opportunities that this website will provide for the bowling community from all around the world," said World Bowling President Kevin Dornberger.

"We are committed to engaging with the bowling community as we develop and enter a new era for international bowling.

"Our new website and our social media activities represent the first steps of how we will unite the sport of bowling worldwide."
