Kazuhiro Takahashi was inspirational once again for the Japanese team, scoring twice to give the hosts an early advantage, before Eiji Misawa and Tomohiko Maruo scored a goal-a-piece to secure victory.

Estonia's consolation goal was scored by Tarmo Eermo.

Germany endured a tough, goalless first period against Britain, but romped home to a 4-0 victory, ensuring their place in the final, which will be played tomorrow.

Slovakia won in the fifth place game, securing their first win of the tournament, beating Poland 4-0, with Martin Joppa netting a brace, and Peter Stit and Marek Gergely getting on the scoresheet for the Slovakians.

The gold and bronze-medal games will be played tomorrow at 10:30 and 14:00 local time, respectively.

While Germany and Japan have kept their hopes of competing at Sochi 2014 alive after guaranteeing their place in the Paralympic Qualification Tournament by reaching the final, all is not lost for Britain and Estonia, who will vie for the final qualification place in the bronze medal match.
