Following yesterday's downhill action in the French resort in which several high profile names, including reigning Paralympic champions Marie Bochet of France and Akira Kano of Japan, were among the winners, the planned Super G races were re-scheduled after heavy snow fall.

But, with no improvements in the conditions, the races were eventually cancelled altogether, meaning the world's top Para-skiers now have just three more tests ahead of the World Championships in Panorama, set to begin on February 28.

Action in the World Cup finals is due to begin in St Moritz on Monday (February 2), with the women's sitting category set to provide one of the biggest challenges, as Austria's giant slalom world champion Claudia Loesch takes on the likes of Germany's Sochi 2014 champion Anna Schaffelhuber and Canada's double World Championship medallist Kimberly Jones.

Equally as gripping should be the men's sitting events where Japan's slalom Paralympic champion Takeshi Suzuki will go up against Austria's double Sochi 2014 medallist Roman Rabl, while Canada's Mac Marcoux will be looking to continue his winning visually impaired form in Tignes.

Danelle Umstead, guided by her husband Rob, will be a leading contender in the women's visually impaired events, with Great Britain's Millie Knight among the challenges.

Bochet, meanwhile, will seek to continue her good form against arch-rival Andrea Rothfuss of Germany in the standing class, while Russia's 17-year-old progidy Alexey Bugaev will look to lead the way in the equivalent male competitions.

Action will continue until Thursday (February 5), before the Europa Cup Finals take place in Sella Nevea, Italy, from February 16 to 18 and the NorAm Cup, the final pre-World Championship test is held in Kimberley, Canada from February 23 to 26.
