Canadian Paralympic stars, including Brian McKeever, are featuring in a new documentary series for Sochi 2014 ©Getty ImagesFebruary 5 - Some of Canada's greatest Winter Paralympic athletes, including the likes of seven-time cross country skiing champion Brian McKeever and Sonja Gaudet - the world's most decorated wheelchair curler, are set to feature in a special documentary to mark Sochi 2014.

The three-part series, Milestones of Champions: The Journeys of Canada's Paralympians, will be aired by Accessible Media Inc (AMI) as it explores the respective paths of eight of the country's top athletes on their way to the Sochi Games, which are due get underway on March 7.

Episode one, which premieres on February 12 at 7pm ET, features the stories of world champion Para-snowboarder Tyler Mosher, nine-time Paralympian and multiple cross country skiing medallist Colette Bourgonje and visually impaired alpine skiing champion Chris Williamson.

Episode two, which airs on February 19 at 7pm ET, profiles 10-time Paralympic medallist McKeever, Vancouver 2010 sit-skiing silver medallist Josh Dueck, and two-time Paralympic gold medallist Gaudet.

The third and final episode, which will be broadcast on February 26 at 7pm ET, focuses on Canada's ice sledge hockey squad, who are the current world champions, as they look to medal at Sochi 2014 after a disappointing fourth place finish at Vancouver 2010.

Veteran and team captain Greg Westlake will share his story alongside newcomer and standout forward Dominic Larocque.

"In keeping with the spirit of inclusion we are honoured to tell the amazing stories of our Paralympians," John Melville, vice-president of programming and production at AMI, said.

"Each athlete has a unique story to tell, filled with hardships and triumphs.

"We hope our audience is inspired by all that these dedicated individuals have accomplished on their way to Sochi."
