"Now everything is nailed, and now it is for all of us to load up on the best way forward until the opening ceremony on March 7," said Sweden's sporting director Hans Säfström.

Swedish athletes will compete in all five sports at the Games - Alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, wheelchair curling and ice sledge hockey - and will be hoping to earn their first gold medal since the Lillehammer 1994, where they took home three.

Last time out in Vancouver, Sweden secured just two bronze medals, Zebastien Modin claiming a podium spot in the men's visually impaired cross-country skiing sprint event and Jalle Jungnell's team taking bronze in the wheelchair curling.

Jungell's wheelchair curling team - which includes Kristina Ulander, Glen Ikonen, Patrik Kallin and Zandra Reppe - will be among the top contenders for a medal in the Swedish delegation following their silver medal at the 2013 World Championships in Sochi.

The Swedish team will also include alpine skier Linnea Ottosson Eide, Nordic skier Helene Ripa, and the 11-man ice sledge hockey team.

Albin Ackerot will continue in his role as guide to Modin, following the pair's success in Vancouver.
