Taking place in Glasgow from July 13 to 19, the 2015 Swimming World Championships will see 650 of the world's best swimmers from around 50 nations compete for the coveted world title as they look to place themselves firmly on the road to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

The schedule shows which events are set to take place on each day, with a final version due for release in June once the entries have closed.

With the likes of the 400 metres freestyle S6 taking place on the opening day, Great Britain could be in for a golden opening in the Championships, with Ellie Simmonds hoping to defend the title she won in Montreal, Canada in 2013.

Brazilian 10-time Paralympic champion Daniel Dias will also be in the pool on the opening day as he begins the defence of one of his six S5 world titles against the likes of Great Britain's multiple European champion Andrew Mullen and the United States' Roy Perkins.

The women's S8 races could feature United States' 12-time Paralympic champion Jessica Long against Great Britain's Stephanie Slater, the most decorated female athlete from the 2014 European Championships, and Russia's Oleysa Vladykina.

The World Championships will take place inside Glasgow's famous Tollcross International Swimming Centre, the venue of the 2014 Commonwealth Games swimming events and the 2013 Duel in the Pool between the United States and Europe.

National Paralympic Committees have until May 28 to submit their teams for the World Championships.
