Parc Jean-Drapeau Aquatic ComplexJune 13 - Tickets for the 2013 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming World Championships in Montreal have now gone on sale with the competition set to take place from August 12 until 18.


The event at the Parc Jean-Drapeau Aquatic Complex will be the biggest gathering of international swimmers since London 2012 and see around 650 of the world's top swimmers from 60 countries in action.

Tickets will be priced at $17 (£11/€13) for adults, $11.5 (£8/€9) for anyone aged between six and 18-years-old and free for youngsters aged five and under.

In addition, family tickets for two adults and two youngsters start at $45 (£30/€35) whole a week long pass for all sessions starts at $50 (£32/€38).

"This is the biggest swimming event of the year and an opportunity for the people to see some of the stars of London 2012 in action," said IPC chief executive Xavier Gonzalez.

"It also gives Canadians an opportunity to see many of the swimmers from the Americas who will be back competing in 2015 when Toronto stages the Parapan American Games."

Major stars at the event are set to include Paralympic champions such as Britain's Ellie Simmonds, America's Jessica Long, Brazil's Daniel Dias and Canada's Benoit Huot.
