More than 1,100 sailors across ten Olympic and two Paralympic events will take part ahead of the medal races on Saturday (April 26), with 17 2.4mR athletes taking to the start line tomorrow, including British sailors Megan Pascoe and Helena Lucas, who will be hoping to make it a hat-trick of British World Cup regatta victories.

London 2012 champion Lucas and 2013 Open World Championship bronze medallist Pascoe share one World Cup series victory apiece in the one-person Paralympic class this season from the Miami and Palma events.

Lucas gained the upper hand at the most recent regatta at the Majorcan venue earlier this month, while Pascoe claimed regatta honours on Biscayne Bay in January to get her season off to winning ways.

As the duo battle for a podium position in the week-long regatta they will also face stiff opposition from local athlete Damien Seguin, while competitors from the Netherlands and Germany will likely provide a thrilling ending to this World Cup Series.

The top six from the Sonar fleet at London 2012 will also take to the start line in Hyères, with eight teams set to line up.

Dutch gold medallists Udo Hessels, Marcel van de Veen and Mischa Rossen, silver medallists Jens Kroker, Siegmund Mainka and Robert Prem of Germany and Norway's Aleksander Wang-Hansen, Marie Solberg and Per Eugen Kristiansen will all be among the fleet.
