Pascoe, who has cerebral palsy, did not post a finish worse than second following race four out of 10.

She tallied six second place finishes to win by three points over Canadian Allan Leibel, with his compatriot Bruce Millar securing the bronze.

Pascoe was fourth last year in Miami and third in the 2.4 mR World Championships last September while she will now be targeting the 2013 International 2.4 mR Open World Championship take place at Poole Yacht Club in September.

In the Sonar event, which was the other disability competition at the ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami, Aleksander Wang-Hansen, Marie Solberg and Per Eugen Kristiansen of Norway won the gold a nine point margin.

Two American teams secured silver and bronze medals, with Andrew Fisher, Mike Hersey and Ryan Levinson taking second and Rick Doerr, Brad Kendell and Hugh Freund winning bronze.

"We've been working hard together for years now and it's paying off," said Wang-Hansen.

"We have a long way to go, but it's full speed ahead for Rio [2016]."
