151366915May 12 - Holland's Marlou Van Rhijn has set a 400 metres T43 world record at the Dutch Open in Emmeloord, clocking a time of 1min 4.95 seconds to take nearly five seconds off the best.

The 21-year-old Van Rhijn - nicknamed the "Blade Babe" - already holds the world record for the 100m and 200m and will add the 400m record to her list of honours pending ratification of the record from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

After taking gold in the T44 200m and silver in the T44 100m, Van Rhijn goes into the IPC Athletics World Championships in Lyon this July eyeing multiple world titles.

Vervoort took seven-tenths of a second off her European and Paralympic record to finish the T52 100m in 18.99sec, just three-tenths of a second behind the world record set by Michelle Stilwell of Canada.
